Wonderful rare color, silent, home movies shot in Italy during WWII of a 5th Army maintenance unit setting up their tents. Great stuff of erecting a Large Wall tent. You see 2 1/2 ton trucks, and weapons carriers, grinding their way through a muddy field to set up a bivouac. The soldiers - including a helpful captain - set up a Large Wall tent, and you can see footage of a Storage Tent and a M1934 Pyramidal Tent as well.

This C47 was based at this airfield in WW2 and dropped the 101st airborne into Normandy. This was the first time that it had been back since WW2 - this clip is of it taking off from the Upottery airfield - Devon. We were all honoured to be there. Thanks Robin and thanks to Lawson Green the cameraman!
