A British Marksman anti-aircraft system. According to the commentator mounted on a Chieftain tank chassis, it mounts twin Oerlikon 35 mm anti aircraft cannon and a Marconi Series 400 radar. A very cool piece of kit. Listen to the commentator who will tell you a little about it. The first part of this film shows various clips of it driving around an arena, the second part shows a close drive by viewed from above and to the front/behind. Well worth waiting for. This is the first time that this very C-47 has returned to this airfield since 1944..Upottery is in devon uk and is where elements of the 101st airborne division took off From on june the 6th 1944 D-day...many where lost..you will see it at the start of band of brothers...However this is the real upottery airfield..And what a real treat and honour it was for me to of filmed this....
